Updates and uninstalling
All updates to version 1 are included with your license
Get an update
Choose Check for updates in the StyleTyper menu. When there is a new version, click Download it, then Install it. StyleTyper closes, and the new version replaces it.
With Automatic updates on, StyleTyper looks for new versions by itself
On Linux, StyleTyper downloads the update and shows Update ready. Click Restart to update. For the .deb and .rpm, your system asks for your password first. The AppImage updates itself without a password. Automatic updates check once a day.
Uninstall StyleTyper
Choose Uninstall StyleTyper in the Start menu, or remove it in Windows Settings under Apps. StyleTyper asks whether to remove your settings, dictionary, history and languages too. Keep them if you plan to install it again.
On Linux, use the terminal:
- Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint:
sudo apt remove styletyper - Fedora:
sudo dnf remove styletyper - openSUSE:
sudo zypper remove styletyper - AppImage: delete the file
Uninstalling closes StyleTyper and removes its shortcut and the desktop settings it made
Your settings, dictionary, history and languages stay on the computer. To remove them too, choose Delete everything in Settings › Privacy before you uninstall.
